Product

CERASHELL R-101 is a phenol formaldehyde novolak polymer dissolved in solvent. Generally known as PF liquid resin.

Application

CERASHELL R-101 is an ideal synthetic binder for shell sand, refractories etc.

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES

APPEARANC P Clear reddish brown liquid
Sp.gravity @30°C 1.05 - 1.15
Viscosity by B6 cup @30°C 100 ± 10 secs.
Solid Content 70 ± 2%

SAND MIX PROPERTIES

Sand test results on washed sand (AFS 50-55) clay content 0.2% max. coated with CERASHELL R-101 4 % BOS & CERASHELL H-110 18 % BOR.

HTS (3 MIN CURING @220°C) 34 ±1 Kg/ cm²
CTS (3 MIN CURING) 36 ±1 Kg/ cm²
LOI 3.6±0.2 %
