Craftanol-M1 is alcohol based coating mainly developed for Green sand moulding system for sparying application. The product gives good covering , binding and suspension properties also enhance hardness of mould surface. Coating can be air dry or ignite. Craftanol-M1 maintains hardness of mould surface even after ignition.

Product Function

Craftanol –M1 is recommended for high temperature metals like heavy section cast irons/precision cast iron castings, produces by using green sand moulding system. Craftanol-M1 helps to prevent casting defects like scabbing, metal penetration, inclusion etc. and imparts smooth surface finish to casting.

Instructions To Use

  • Mix the coating in container uniformly, before taking for dilution
  • Take out requisite quantity of Craftanol-M1,dilute the coating by CRAFTANOL- IP- THINNER to desired degree of consistency or keep viscosity of diluted product between 13 to 16 secs. by B4 ford cup.
  • Apply the coating by spraying application
  • Ignite the coating immediately after applying or air dry it for 10-15 minutes.

Colour Off-White /Pale Yellow
Appearance Thick Liquid
Specific Gravity 1.25 – 1.40 gm/cc.
Viscosity by B4 Cup (P:IPA(100:60-65) @( 27 ± 3 )ºC 13 – 16 Secs.
