A newly developed refractory coating by Ceraflux India Pvt Ltd is based on new theme. This is a Craftcote – 75 PEN penetration type thermally stable & resistance coating for moulds & cores of various binder systems. The coating is available both water base & solvent base. The refractory used is highly thermally stable with very low or no expansion.
The coating Craftcote – 75 PEN is designed for eliminating the casting defects like scab, metal penetration, veining , rough surface etc. These defects normally occur due to poor compaction of mould or core ,thermally or mechanically stressed locations of cores. This coating Craftcote – 75 PEN helps to improve the strength of loosely rammed area of mould or core by building bridge between loose sand grains.
Application
The coating Craftcote – 75 PEN is diluted with water by 10-15 parts at the time of usage. It can be applied by brush or spray on a localised area of core or mould , where casting defects are prone. Allow coating to penetrate to 3 – 5 grains , repeat application till coating appears on surface of core or mould. A regular wash can be applied over this coating after 15 – 30 minutes.
