CERACOTE – A60

CERACOTE-A60 is Off-White coloured water base coating. CERACOTE-A60 is available in thick paste form with a highly insulating and non - wet table refractory base exclusively for molten Aluminum. CERACOTE-A60 has excellent suspension & covering ability on the refractory shapes.

Function

CERACOTE-A60 acts as a protective layer for the refractory shapes & prevents damage to it by providing an effective interface between the Refractory shape and molten aluminum. Special non-wetting property of CERACOTE-A60 for molten aluminum influence easy stripping of solid aluminum (the solidified aluminum at end) with out damaging the refractory shapes and hence increase the life of refractory shapes.

Application

Dilute the coating with water in the ratio 80:20(Product: Water). Ensure that the refractory shapes are Cleaned & there is no previous deposit of dust or other foreign particles. Apply the coating by swabbing / brushing to cover the entire refractory shape. Pre-heat the refractory shape before transportation of molten aluminum to ensure fully removal of moisture from coating.
